Two Victorian Parlor Armchairs

Description

Two Victorian parlor armchairs, comprising one larger Renaissance Revival or Rococo Revival-style walnut armchair with shaped crest, carved floral and scroll decoration, padded arms, deep button-tufted red upholstery, and short front casters, together with one Victorian walnut oval-back armchair with shaped arms, cabriole front legs, casters, and gold-patterned upholstery. Larger chair: 44 in. H, 25.5 in. W, 21 in. D, seat height 15 in. Smaller chair: 39 in. H, 23 in. W, 20 in. D, seat height 15.5 in.

Condition

Good condition overall with age-appropriate wear, scattered finish losses, small abrasions, rubbing to carved edges. The larger red chair has a strong carved crest and attractive parlor presence, with wear visible to the rear frame and finish. The smaller chair appears with clean upholstery and surface wear to the frame. Both retain casters.
