American Walnut Step-Back Cupboard

Description

American walnut step-back bookcase cupboard, late 19th century, in two-part form with a projecting molded cornice above glazed double doors enclosing a shelved interior with paneled back. The lower case fitted with two small drawers over one long drawer, each retaining ornate brass bail pulls, above a pair of paneled cupboard doors. The case features rounded molded glazing, paneled sides, turned wooden knobs, dark metal hinges, and a warm walnut finish with attractive grain throughout. 79.5 in. H, 39.5 in. W, 17.5 in. D.

Condition

Good antique condition with scattered surface scratches, abrasions, finish wear, oxidation and wear to hardware, minor veneer and molding wear, and age-appropriate shrinkage.
