In the world of art, such moments can be immortalized in a painting, a sculpture, or a photograph. One such artwork that captures a beautiful moment of companionship is the painting titled "My Little Pet and I". This masterpiece is a painting of a lady carrying a white cat in her arms, and it is a stunning representation of the bond between a pet and its owner. The composition of the painting is simple yet elegant. The lady is placed in the center of the canvas. The cat's white fur stands out against the soft background, and its eyes sparkle with life. The lady's face is turned slightly as if she is listening to its purring. The painting is a beautiful representation of the bond between a pet and its owner. The lady and her cat are portrayed as equals, both enjoying each other's company in a moment of quiet happiness. The painting evokes a sense of peace and contentment, and it is a testament to the power of companionship. Mayowa has seen this scenario in society, apart from seeing different domestic animals and pets a lot of people adore, it flashes him back to his cousin when were together, she had a kitten she so much adored, and she goes around with her pet, and there was a strong intimacy between the two that got the interest in documenting them as his painting. Artist Statement My body of work reflects my environment, it emphasizes my past, and present which could possibly lead to the future, I use my art to speak on my past experience during my childhood with, my relatives and friends, and even in the present have been the source of my creation. My works focus on black people as a form of identity as an Africa, I use figurative and portraiture as a way of expression embedded with a dark hue color to capture "HumanExcellence" I employed blending and a light brushwork approach to express myself, and I occasionally exploited my current mood to create a painting and my environment reflect in creating my works. Acrylic is a good medium for me to experiment with because I was influenced by several great artists and have the ability to finish a project with a quick dry effect. To me, my works serve as Freedom, and use the uniqueness of dark color value in their bodies to create human excellence.
