Keith Morris Washington is a contemporary American landscape and portrait artist, born in 1956, who also serves as an educator at the Massachusetts College of Art & Design. His art explores memory, identity, and social themes, particularly through his series "Within Our Gates," which depicts historic sites of lynching, and "Black Lives...", which features portraits of people from communities affected by police brutality. His work uses both traditional painting and drawing techniques to address layered historical contexts and contemporary social issues.
