70 x 90 Hand-pieced postage stamp style patchwork quilt top featuring small fabric squares set on-point. The piece is constructed from a diverse assortment of fabric scraps including cottons and possible synthetic blends. Fabric patterns range from vintage-style florals and stripes to 1960s-70s era novelty prints, polka dots, and a solid neon yellow square. This is an unfinished quilt top that has not been layered with batting or a backing. It is currently laid over a red fabric base with raw, frayed edges. Several squares feature handwritten inscriptions or stamps. One yellow square is marked in black ink with Dear Audrey and FANTASTIC!!. Another square shows a partial stamp including TROY, N.Y. and zip code 11205. Other squares contain illegible cursive handwriting in pink and a faint circular stamp. The reverse side reveals raw, unfinished seams and thread ends from the hand-stitching process.
