The piece is machine-pieced from a wide variety of polychrome cotton and cotton-blend fabric scraps set against a solid white ground. The fabrics include a diverse array of mid-to-late 20th-century prints, such as 1950s-style florals, 1960s and 1970s psychedelic swirls, paisleys, calicos, stripes, and geometric patterns. The construction consists of repeating quarter-circle blocks arranged to form interlocking circular motifs across the field.
