Bottom of monobloc is stamped with German Nitro proofs for 12 ga. and 7x65R cartridge and with proofdate of 1970. Bbls. are extractor only. 28 1/2" double shotgun bbls. with flat ventilated rib are similarly marked. Both bbl. sets are stamped "F W HEYM" "MUNNERSTADT" on side of rear lump. Coin finished scallop backed double Kirsten blitz action features non automatic safety, pin cocking indicators and double triggers (front set). Trigger plate is of aluminum and trigger guard is of plastic. Action is engraved with some scrolling shaded acanthus within line and sm. scroll borders. Maker's name is on bottom. Pistol grip stock of plain European walnut measures 14 3/8" over ribbed plastic buttplate embossed "HEYM". Stock features slight hogback to comb, sm. shadowline right hand cheekpiece & point pattern skipline checkering at grip. Gripcap of sterling silver is engraved "G. Pruss" "2059 Guster". Sling loops are mounted on toeline and bottoms of barrels. Each barrel set has its own dedicated one piece forend with Deeley release. Rifle is mounted with Hensoldt "DIATAL-D" 6x46 rail scope in claw mounts, rear with windage. Scope has three post reticle and retailer's name is on left side. Rifle/shotgun set shows most loss, mostly on left side. Action retains nearly all of its coin finish, thumbpiece shows silvering on top lever. Stock finish shows considerable weathering and loss with only about 20% original varnish remaining with many scratches and marks and some deep dings on edge of cheekpiece. Checkering shows moderate wear. Trigger guard is broken at mounting screws front and rear; repaired with Super Glue. All bores are bright and shiny with some scattered leading or possible light pitting at breech end of dbl. shotgun bbls. Rifle bore is very fine with strong rifling throughout. Action is tight. Ejectors are strong and in time on shotgun bbls. Rifle/shotgun bbls. are setup to extract only. Set trigger works. Scope has a fair quantity of scattered marks in its external lacquer, optically clear. A fine gun that would profit by some TLC. (23-9/MGM). CURIO. $1,200-2,500.
