A rare French Lioret phonograph mantle clock, circa 1900 features a single-train spring wound clock with a hand painted enamel porcelain dial with Arabic numerals. Clock winds and runs well. The Lioret phonograph movement is triggered by setting the alarm disc on the center of the dial. Phonograph is complete and running but will need a new leather belt to turn the cylinder. When the phonograph plays, the lid of the clock opens to let out the sound from the original celluloid internal horn. Clock and phonograph are mounted in a gilt-finished cast spelter case in the high Louis XVI taste. Comes with three Lioret cylinders and a older replacement winding key.
