(1861-1937) German Benedictine monk and Abbott of the Prague Monastery, joined the NSDAP in 1933 and publicly welcomed Hitler’s rise to power. Despite the church’s stance, Schachleiter was an honored guest at the 1934 and 1935 Nuremberg Rallies.
