Description
Manuscript D.S. 2pp. legal folio, Warren County, MO, Apr. 10, 1854, in which owners George Wright and George Bast seek to emancipate ‘…a certain negro slave named Sally about twenty four years old & who formerly belonged to Charles A. Jacobs of Louisiana. And whereas we are desirous to emancipate her & to set her free from servitude, now therefore do we hereby fully and irrevocably set free & emancipate the said Sally…’. Two pages have been glued together to form a legal folio size, folds and light wear, very good condition.
