Description
(1911 - 1967) Dallas nightclub owner who shot and killed Lee Harvey Oswald following Oswald's assassination of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. Partly-printed check entirely in Ruby’s hand, drawn from the Mercantile National Bank at Dallas, July 1, 1952 and ordering a payment to the Kline Music Co. for $30.11 for a ‘snare drum’. Signed at bottom ‘Little Daddy Jack L. Ruby’. Floated on a gray mat and set into a wood frame measuring 17 in. square. Scuff at left edge and folds, else very good condition. Not examined out of frame. Of course, the snare drum was a standard accompaniment for the strippers employed at Ruby’s clubs.
