33x16x6 This wall-mounted primitive style hanging shelf was manufactured by Country Furniture by Schuler in Janesville, Wisconsin. The piece is constructed from pine and features a tall, arched backboard composed of two vertical planks joined at the center. The lower section consists of a rectangular box housing a single drawer, which is fitted with a turned wooden knob. The top surface of the drawer housing contains a recessed longitudinal groove. The wood is finished in a warm honey-colored stain and has been heavily distressed with intentional simulated wormholes, surface scarring, and knots to mimic an aged antique appearance. The reverse is equipped with a wire hanging system attached to D-rings and a single metal sawtooth hanger near the top. The lower right corner of the backboard is stamped in black ink with COUNTRY FURNITURE BY SCHULER JANESVILLE WI above a handwritten number 7608.
