Description
This priestess is an Oracle-sayer and is a part of Bhuta worship from the South West Coast of India. Well crafted. Note the twisted blade of the sword resting against her right shoulder, her bell, the elaborate headgear, and Ani-the waist decoration, which follows the opposite direction of the headgear.

The base of this casting has been set inside another base bezel, which is of a later date and a bit cumbersome. The metal shows accumulated substances from ritual worship, and casting flaws are evident on the back side.
