Description
Two small painted chests. Larger is a sea chest in original blue paint. Dovetail construction with snipe hinges. Smaller in red/orange paint and fine yellow line decoration. American, 19th century.
H 9-3/8 in. W 23 in. D 10-1/4 in. and H 6-1/4 in. W 17-5/8 in. D 8 in.

Sea chest with wire replacing part of one snipe hinge. Missing rope handles. Smaller chest has key present but non-working with lock. Both with surface imperfections.
