Late Meiji small silver netsuke in a shape of a money purse with ties, its hollow body with a ball inside, so works as a rattle as well. Very neatly made, in excellent condition. Inscription on one side translates as “Nachi great shrine” and on the other side as “amulet” (omamori). Hallmarked with Japanese characters reading JUNGIN (pure silver). Height 0.95 inches.
