A collection of 1971 United States Proof Sets struck at the San Francisco Mint. Each set contains five proof coins including one Lincoln cent, one Jefferson nickel, one Roosevelt dime, one Washington quarter, and one Kennedy half dollar. All coins bear the S mint mark and feature mirror-like proof fields with frosted devices. The coins are housed in their original government packaging (OGP), which consists of clear plastic rectangular cases with black textured inserts and blue paper outer envelopes. The reverse of each insert is inscribed in script with United States Proof Set and the top edge of the plastic case is embossed with PACKAGED BY U.S. MINT.
