Description: A substantial American North Pole household icebox constructed in oak. The upright case has two tall paneled doors and a smaller lower door, all fitted with brass hinges and lever latches. The divided interior retains painted metal lining, shelving, and a circular drain opening associated with the original ice compartment. A surviving North Pole plate is mounted on the front. Horizontal board construction is visible on the reverse.

Retains an old refinished surface with scattered scratches, abrasions, edge wear, color variation, and small wood losses. Interior metal lining has been repainted in yellow and red and exhibits scratches, corrosion, staining, paint loss, and areas of deterioration. The circular insert formerly fitted within the North Pole plate appears absent. Hardware has oxidation and finish wear and may include replacements. Rear boards exhibit stains, cracks, separation, and deterioration along the upper edge.
