Description: An American late Federal dining table constructed in cherry with two broad drop leaves flanking a narrow rectangular fixed top. The plain apron is raised on four permanent ring-turned and tapering legs, while two additional swinging gate legs support the leaves when extended. Figured cherry surfaces, restrained molded edges, and compact closed proportions distinguish the practical Sheraton-influenced form. The table expands from 24 inches to 67 inches in width.

Retains an old polished surface with scratches, abrasions, staining, finish wear, and color variation. Top and leaves exhibit scattered marks, minor shrinkage, and edge wear. Banded edges have small losses. Drop leaves and swinging gate legs show age-related movement and minor alignment variation.
