Description: American late Federal cherry one-drawer stand, circa 1830-1850. The rectangular case contains a single dovetailed drawer fitted with two round wooden pulls. Four ring-turned and tapering legs descend from rounded corner blocks and terminate in ebonized feet. The broadly overhanging oak top contrasts with the cherry frame and appears to be a later replacement.

Retains an old refinished surface with scattered scratches, stains, abrasions, finish variation, and edge wear. Oak top appears to be a later replacement and has surface marks, discoloration, and minor separation along its joined boards. Drawer interior has staining and wear from use. Frame has minor joint movement and scattered old repairs.
