Pastel drawing on toned paper depicts a seated tabby cat executed with a high degree of naturalism. Created by British artist John Sergeant (British,1937–2010), the work is signed on both the front and the reverse, and dated 1981. It is housed in a gilt frame with a gilt-decorated mat, measuring approximately 20 3/8 in. H x 16 5/8 in. W x 1/2 in. D, and is in good condition.
