A pair of late Victorian sterling silver open salt cellars accompanied by two matching salt spoons, manufactured by the Gorham Manufacturing Company of Providence, Rhode Island. The salt cellars feature an elongated octagonal boat-shaped form, with each raised on four spherical ball feet. The ends are decorated with pierced scrollwork galleries. The matching spoons feature shell-shaped terminals, beaded borders, and reeded stems, each engraved with a decorative script monogram K. The base of each cellar is marked with the Gorham trademark of a lion passant, an anchor, and a capital letter G, alongside the word STERLING and the model number 2645. The reverse of each spoon is marked with the same Gorham trademark, STERLING, and PAT. 1890. Weight: Light.
