In this lot we have a WWII era Navy peacoat. The peacoat was adopted by the U.S. Navy in the late 1800s for sailors and has been a staple piece of military hardware to shield sailors from water and more importantly, the cold. It remained in service until 2021 where it was discontinued as a mandatory seabag item. This coat made its way to the civilian market and remains popular to this day for its cold weather protection and its iconic look. The peacoat itself in in good condition with a couple missing buttons and fraying at certain button points.
