A vintage earthenware cookie jar modeled in the form of a seated owl with a removable head lid. The exterior features detailed molded feathers, folded wings, and prominent stylized eyes. The piece is finished in a high-gloss variegated drip glaze in shades of chocolate brown and mossy olive green, while the interior is finished in a solid green glaze. The base of the jar bears an impressed mark reading 204 USA and features a small central circular stilt mark.
