Description

Rare and historically significant porcelain pitcher was attributed to the pioneering Southern Porcelain Company of Kaolin, South Carolina, which operated from 1856 to 1864. The pitcher features a wonderful embossed corn cob pattern paired with an organic, stalk-form handle, and it's fine translucent porcelain body emits a soft glow when backlit. It measures approximately 10 1/4 in. H x 9 1/2 in. in diameter including the handle, retaining its historical rarity and exceptional molded design, with expected age-related crazing, a hairline crack to the base, and a professional or historical repair to the handle.
