About the Artist

John Utgaard is a highly regarded American ceramic artist and educator known for creating organic, complex earthenware vessels that emulate natural environments and architectural ruins. He earned his Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from the prestigious New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University in 1999. Utgaard’s distinguished career includes a competitive residency at the renowned Archie Bray Foundation for the Ceramic Arts.
