Provenance and Authentication:
According to the Letter of Authenticity (LOA) and Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided by the consignor, this collectible was subjected to a forensic examination. The accompanying documentation states that the signatures were evaluated with reference to multiple characteristics, including ink deposition, material and aging characteristics, stylistic consistency, and historical context. Based on the examination described in these documents, the authentication provider concluded that the findings were consistent with the attributed signatures. The LOA and COA provided by the consignor accompany the lot.

A photographic postcard signed by Winston Churchill (1874-1965), depicting Churchill alongside General Dwight D. Eisenhower. The Dutch caption beneath the photograph reads "De Heer Churchill en Generaal Eisenhower." The reverse bears Tuck's Post Card and Raphael Tuck & Sons markings.

Signed by Churchill in dark ink across the lower portion of the photograph. The visible handwriting is executed in a rapid connected manner, with compressed letter construction, a gently shifting baseline, closely joined central strokes, and an extended terminal movement. Rather than emphasizing individually articulated letters, the inscription displays the flowing overall rhythm associated with Churchill's abbreviated autograph forms.

The subject matter gives the piece particular historical resonance, bringing together two of the defining Allied figures of the Second World War within the same photographic image. Period toning, minor surface marks, and edge wear contribute to the postcard's evident age and historical character.
