This US silver dollar, dated 1921, is composed of 90 percent silver and 10 percent copper. The coin features the Morgan design type on the obverse and a heraldic eagle on the reverse. It was produced at the Philadelphia Mint, as indicated by the absence of a mint mark. The coin is housed in a 2x2 cardboard and plastic flip fastened with metal staples. The flip features several markings: a white rectangular adhesive label in the upper right corner displaying the number 39 in black ink and a small red mark; the date 1921 and the notation MS 60 handwritten in green ink on the left side; and the characters EL handwritten in black ink in the lower right corner. The coin is in uncirculated condition, retaining original mint luster across both surfaces (Photo 1, 2). Scattered contact marks, consistent with bag marks, are visible on Lady Liberty's cheek and within the obverse and reverse fields (Photo 1, 2). There is minor peripheral toning present around the rims. The grade of MS 60 indicated on the holder is a subjective attribution and not a third-party certification.
