A striking decanter modeled as a Flathead woman standing wrapped in a figured trade blanket, a sleeping papoose carried at her shoulder. The painter did not stint on the blanket work, laying reds, yellows and blues over the blue coat and beaded moccasins with a shrewd eye. Rises approximately 13 inches on a woodgrain plinth, the plaque titled Flathead Squaw and Papoose; no maker's mark is legible in the photographs. Soiling and staining to the plaque.
