A well-turned Jim Beam decanter with a deep lobed body and slender fluted neck, glazed in warm amber and brown with darker mottling at the shoulder and foot. The crown-form stopper is a handsome finish to a shape that needs no ornament beyond its glaze. Approximately 12 inches tall on a hexagonal foot, the base label reading Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, 100 proof, bottled in bond by the James B. Beam Distilling Co., Clermont, Kentucky, with a Series 1964 tax strip still crossing the stopper. Neck label rubbed and soiled. See photos for exact size and condition.
