A McCormick decanter from The Confederates series, modeled as Jefferson Davis standing beside a lectern with the furled battle flag at his shoulder. The painter did not stint on the detail of the frock coat, plum waistcoat and silvered hair, and the likeness is earnest and well studied. Approximately 13 inches tall on a base lettered Jefferson Davis, with the original box from McCormick Distilling Co. of Weston, Missouri, marked 1808-1889. Shelf wear to the box.
