Description
12 3/8 x 12 3/8 in (31.5 x 31.5 cm)
Provenance and Authentication:
According to the Letter of Authenticity (LOA) and Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided by the consignor, this collectible was subjected to a forensic examination. The accompanying documentation states that the signatures were evaluated with reference to multiple characteristics, including ink deposition, material and aging characteristics, stylistic consistency, and historical context. Based on the examination described in these documents, the authentication provider concluded that the findings were consistent with the attributed signatures. The LOA and COA provided by the consignor accompany the lot.
A fully signed The Beatles Introducing... The Beatles LP, bearing the signatures of the complete classic lineup: John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. The four autographs are individually positioned around the group portrait, creating a particularly effective presentation in which the signatures remain distinct while the early Beatles imagery is preserved.
The sleeve is marked STEREOPHONIC, SR 1062, while the accompanying vinyl retains its black Vee-Jay Records label identifying Introducing the Beatles, VJLP 1062. Side One includes early recordings such as "I Saw Her Standing There," "Misery," "Anna," "Chains," "Boys," and "Love Me Do."
Introducing... The Beatles occupies a distinctive place in the group's American discography. Issued by Vee-Jay Records during the period in which Beatlemania transformed the American popular-music landscape, the album captures the group at the beginning of its extraordinary rise in the United States. Its formal early portrait of Lennon, McCartney, Harrison, and Starr has become closely associated with this formative period.
The presence of all four signatures directly on an early American Beatles LP gives the piece particular historical and visual appeal. With Lennon and Harrison no longer living, complete four-member autograph groupings represent a permanently finite category of Beatles memorabilia.
An impressive intersection of early American Beatles record history and complete group autograph collecting, with strong appeal to collectors of The Beatles, signed LPs, British rock, and 20th-century popular culture.
