Expressive face jug is crafted by Clint Alderman (born 1981), an acclaimed American folk potter and artist based in northeast Georgia who is widely recognized for his dedication to preserving traditional Southern pottery techniques and wood-fired alkaline glaze traditions. The bulbous vessel features a rich, lustrous alkaline glaze accented by a smiling face with bulging ears, expressive eyes, and a sharply modeled pointed nose. It measures approximately 11 in. H x 7 3/4 in. in diameter overall, presenting a striking sculptural and regional presence. It is offered in good condition.
