The ring is carved from Hetian white jade in standard cylindrical form. The jade has fine and gentle texture, covered with natural yellowish-brown hair-like russet permeating into the jade. The outer surface is plain without carving, finely polished with smooth rounded rim and thick aged patina inside and out. Originally used as finger protector for archery in Qing Dynasty, it later became a cherished ornament for nobles and literati. It comes with original turquoise woven silk cylindrical box with hidden pattern, well preserved. The complete set carries strong antique charm and is a classic jade collectible of Qing Dynasty.
