This is a wonderful pair of American mid-century modern two-tier step side/end tables blending classic traditional elements with French Provincial flair. Crafted from a rich hardwood finish (likely mahogany), each table features a distinct tiered structure that provides excellent display depth.

The highlights of these pieces are the original inset leather (or faux-leather) top panels showcasing elegant, intricate gold-stenciled borders. Balanced on stylized cabriole-curved legs with matching clean trim profiles along the apron, these functional tables make fantastic statement nightstands or living room accent pieces.

However, if these are going to be placed in a high end client's home, there will likely need to be some restoration. The finish on the veneer has lifted in some areas. Using a good oil based conditioner calmed most of these areas down, but again, in a high end home, this might need to be refinished.

The leather, which is the most concerning part of a piece such as these, are in excellent, vintage condition and shouldn't need to be replaced unless your clients are super picky.

There is damage on the back of one of the legs.
