This exceptional vintage wildlife sculpture by American artist R.C. Lynch (Ronilee Lynch) depicts a charming pair of raccoons nestled within a hollowed tree trunk. Cast in heavy, solid patinated bronze, the work showcases Lynchs mastery of naturalistic detail, specifically the intricate "bark" texture and lifelike fur.

Clearly signed and dated 1980, this piece belongs to a remarkably exclusive limited edition, hand-numbered 12/17. A production run of only 17 makes this a rare acquisition compared to more common open-edition bronzes. The sculpture is mounted on its original, polished oval hardwood base, creating a sophisticated gallery-ready display. Standing approximately 9 inches tall, this 1980s original is in excellent vintage condition with a rich, deep patina. Perfect for high-end "Naturalist," "Lodge Style," or library decor.
