Early 20th Century Vintage Solid Oak Rolling and Swivel/Tilt Bankers Desk Chair

Description

Bring a timeless presence to your workspace with this exceptional early 20th-century vintage banker's chair. A beautiful example of classic American craftsmanship, this heavy-duty captain's style office chair is constructed from solid hardwood-featuring striking, prominent tiger oak, and a sculptured wooden seat. Designed for long lasting comfort and durability. The chair features a supportive slatted backrest, elegantly curved armrests, and an authentic heavy iron multi-adjustment under-seat mechanism. you can swivel a full 360 degrees, with a manual height adjustment, and a controlled tilt-back tension feature. It sits on four wooden bases and has 4 functional rolling coasters. It has a brass stamp of "Idaho" placed on the back of the seat indicating it was at one time the property of the State of Idaho. This chair is perfect for adding character to your home office, study or library. I found this piece in an antique store in the Boise, ID.
