Herschell Spillman Carved and Painted Wood Carousel Horse, North Tonawanda, New York, circa first quarter 20th century, modeled as jumping, wearing a bridle, painted saddle with leather and brass stirrups, mounted on a brass pole fitted on bronze base, the underside of body with painted inscription "Restored by Pat Brown, May, 1985" opposed by the relief numbers "3335", [Figure H 38 1/2" x L 58" x D 13"; Pole H 76" Base 18" square], restored by Pat Brown, few shrinkage cracks, few areas of crazed varnish and minor discoloration.
