An Edwardian 18ct gold ruby and diamond ring. The oval-shape ruby line, with rose-cut diamond double spacers and an openwork gallery. Hallmarks for Chester, 1903. Ring size N. Weight 2.5gms.

Condition

  • Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.

  • Rubies vary in colour, with a light to medium pinkish-red, well saturated, with good to fair clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Cut and setting of rose-cut diamond prevents total carat weight estimation.

  • Diamonds well matched.

  • Diamonds fairly bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
