Large Prussian Royal Crown from a monument of Fredrick The Great from 18th century. Made of gilt bronze. Mounted in the late 19th century on a nut wood column with red brocade trim and hanging decorative tassels. Frontally applied relief is a splendid gilded and silvered Prussian Royal Coat of Arms held up by Wild Men. The reverse has a curved escutcheon with the engraved monogram of the King, his life period 1740-1786 and the inscription "Fredericus Rex Borussiae et Elector Brandenburg". Very historic item. A true Museum quality piece. Measures 67"x33"28"
