A magnificent "magic" pendant of the type purportedly used by female seers, comprised of a very large ovoid translucent natural quartz crystal mounted in a gold setting the upper section designed to resemble five sections of rope that meet in a twist with loop above, their lower ends connected via a gold band around the mid-section of the pendant, with a hammered gold hemisphere at the lower end of the drop. From ancient to medieval times, rock crystals like the one featured in this piece were believed to possess talismanic properties. Total Weight: 16 grams.
