Offered for bidding in this lot is a Navajo Native American Indian "chinle" pattern wool rug. This regional Navajo rug style is named for the town of Chinle, at the mouth of the "Canyon de Chelly", and typically shows horizontal bands, containing various geometric pattern. This particular rug is no exception - showing soft earth tones, of soft khaki, off-white, tan, browns, and soft blue and pink. The rug has typical horizontal bands of alternating color, and utilizes polychrome Chinle stars between each band. The rug shows good condition overall. The rug measures 64" x 35".
