Trained white cotton empire gown sprigged with satin-stitch floral devices, short sleeve drawstring bodice having two ties over crossed under-panels, slit back with tie above center pleats, long train. Tag: "Grace Fletcher Webster". She was wife of Daniel Webster, born 1781. Note: an acquisition card states that Grace Webster gown was acquired from the Daniel Webster family estate, purchased from Georia Bly along with note "Worn by Grace Fletcher Webster". B-28, L 50-75. (Scattered small holes, period patch repair on skirt, numerous period mends) good.
