806. Photographic set study for Forbidden Planet. (MGM, 1956) This is a rare set of ten 7 ½ x 19 ½ in. and three 4 ¼ x 9 ¾ in. color and black and white photographic studies for landscape backdrops and of the C-57D spacecraft and crewmembers, as they were filmed within an MGM sound stage during production. Included are shots of the production paintings "Int. Krell Cube #2, Ext. Cemetery…Day, and Ext. House & Landscape…Day…All Over". Included are shots of the sound stage before construction started, the doorway to the Krell lab, the interior of the C-57D, and several production backdrop designs. An incredible set of original production photographs from this classic sci-fi film. Some wear; overall, in good condition and perfect for framing and display. $2,000 - $3,000
