1) MODEL 44 IDEAL. Cal. 25-20 Single Shot. S# 30431 Mfg. 1896-1933 w/ 26" No. 2 matching numbered part rd. part oct. bbl. Sporting rear sight w/ elevator & windage adj. front sight nicely mfg. from parts of receiver sight plus Lyman No. 17 globe sight. Tang fitted w/ repro. Vernier target sight having 0 - 50 scale. Toe of stock fitted w/ European style cartridge trap for 5 cartridges & secured to stock w/ QD sling stud. Standard stock set w/ abbreviated schnabel forend & crescent buttplate. CONDITION: very good overall appearance as refinished w/ some prior light pitting showing on mid point of bbl. between forend & muzzle. Bright new blue appearing cartridge trap. Slightly proud buttplate w/ some additional light gaps in fitment; likely from another rifle. Very nice tight locking of lever plus fitted in the white appearance to breech end of bbl. Faded receiver finish of almost cold blue coloration. Trigger pivot screw broken internally, but does not affect function. Light handling marks on buttstock w/ satin refinish leaving receiver slightly proud of stock. Action screws w/ slightly damaged slots except for trigger pivot. Good to very good bore w/ light wear & hint of frosting.(18-2934/NW). 2) MODEL 44. Cal. 25-20 Single Shot. S# 58436. Mfg. 1896-1933. Matching numbered No. 2 part rnd. part oct. 26" bbl. w/ brass blade front sight & elevator adj. sporting rear. Abbreviated schnabel style forend & standard straight grip buttstock w/ crescent buttplate. Bbl. markings w/ cal. designation "25.20". Case colored lever, receiver & buttplate. Varnished uncheckered stock set. CONDITION: patina appearance to cased items w/ better appearing colors on rear half of sides of receiver & protected areas by trigger. Good older bbl. refinish w/ peppery oxidation & light marks throughout plus thinning on high points of oct. portion. Numerous light to medium handling marks on stock set having extra finish, but no compromising to dimensions. Fair, worn, pitted & somewhat dark bore. (18-2967/NW). 3) MODEL 44. Cal. 25-20 Win. S# 34795. Rechambered from 25-20 Single Shot. Mfg. 1896-1933. Matching numbered No. 2 part rnd. part oct. 26" bbl. w/ brass blade front sight & elevator adj. sporting rear. Abbreviated schnabel style forend & standard straight grip buttstock w/ crescent buttplate. Bbl. markings w/ cal. designation "25.20". CONDITION: fair overall appearance as refinished over moderate pitting. Better appearance on sides of receiver. Stock set has finish of dark stained varnish. Forend slightly reduced dimensions; similar buttstock also having light gaps around tangs & chip at bottom left front. Stock proud of buttplate. Buttstock appears replacement.
