Ancient Near East, northwestern Iran, Luristan, ca. 1200 to 800 BCE. A cast bronze miniature figurine of a long-horned zebu bull, laterally perforated for suspension. The humped zebu bull was a recurring theme on the decorative and ritual arts from this civilization, most likely symbolizing the leader of the herd, known for strength and virility. Size: 1.375" L x 1.25" H (3.5 cm x 3.2 cm)
