Jean-Antoine Nollet was an 18th-century French physicist who made incredible contributions to world of physical science. In his ‘Leçons de Physique Experimentale’ he covers the results and findings in his own research such as useful tools and instruments, uses for fire and heat, pendulums, clocks and sundials, compasses, wind and weather, sound waves, light, machines and mechanics, and most importantly electricity!



This four-volume lot from the 1749 printing features 73 illustrations depicting these experiments and the tools which were used.
