J. Barton Smith Company Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 1890 The only mechanical bank produced by J. Barton Smith Company of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania circa 1890. The bank was originally marketed as “French’s Automatic Toy Bank”. The heavier the coin, the more revolutions the boy will make. Made of Cast Iron. Worked when tested. Very Fine to Excellent Condition.
