Description
Original Tom Wright screen-used painting from the Night Gallery episode "The Waiting Room." (Universal TV, 1971) To help Rod Serling introduce one of the most memorable and genuinely haunting episodes of the entire series of Night Gallery, not to mention one of the best performed by its exceptional ensemble cast of legendary screen tough guys, artist Tom Wright created this icon of a generic wild-west gunslinger lying cold and dead in a $12 coffin. Storyline of the episode entitled "The Waiting Room" depicts Hell as a saloon where cold-hearted gunslingers are forced to repeatedly re-enact their own demise for eternity. Acrylic on 24" x 40" Masonite, re-framed in simple wood molding after series end. Excellent condition.
