Incisione su due lastre di rame, stampata su altrettanti fogli. Mis. 505x920 mm. Marginino. Ottimo stato di conservazione. Rarissimo foglio volante. È raffigurata in grandiosa scena prospettica la fastosa regata offerta ai veneziani dal Duca di Brunswick nel 1686 durante la sua visita a Venezia, che tanto clamore destò per la magnificenza delle feste che si organizzarono in suo onore. Si trattò certamente di un evento straordinario: il Cicogna riporta due libri stampati a Venezia nel 1686 per ricordare l’occasione e annota che furono pubblicate altre opere relative a questa regata; Margherita Azzi Visentini cita una Descrizione della regata stampata dal Coronelli nel 1686. Alessandro Dalla Via operò a Venezia dal 1686 al 1724: di lui conosciamo una veduta prospettica della riva destra del Canal Grande pubblicata nel 1686 e le splendide tavole inserite nell’opera di Sartorio del 1688.

Extremely rare flying sheet. The great regatta offered to the Venetians by the Duke of Brunswick in 1686 during his visit to Venice was portrayed in a magnificent prospective scene, which so much clamor awakened for the magnificence of the festivities that were organized in his honor. It was certainly an extraordinary event: Cicogna: returns two printed books in Venice in 1686 to celebrate the occasion and notes that other works related to this regatta were published; Margherita Azzi Visentini cites a description of the regatta printed by Coronelli in 1686. Alessandro Dalla Via worked in Venice from 1686 to 1724. Of him we know a perspective view of the right bank of the Grand Canal published in 1686 and the splendid plates inserted in the work of Sartorio of 1688.
