According to our records, your emails were sent at 7:38 PM and 11:59 PM, which were outside of our business hours. We responded the following morning, which is our standard practice. If there were other attempts to contact us that we may have missed, we sincerely apologize and would appreciate you letting us know, as we do not have records of additional outreach. Regarding shipping: we received payment on December 1st, and your items shipped on December 10th, which is within our stated shipping timeframe. These items included porcelain and glass, requiring specialty packing to ensure they arrived safely. We are unable to pack or schedule shipments prior to payment, but once payment is received, we proceed as efficiently as possible while prioritizing safe delivery. As for shipping cost, $85 covered multiple fragile porcelain and glass items, including materials and labor for specialty packing. This process is time-consuming but necessary to prevent damage. Our in-house shipping rates are generally 50 % or less than many competitors, and clients are always welcome to use a third-party shipper if preferred (though this is often more time-consuming and costly). We’d also like to note that at the time of your purchase, there were no reviews referencing issues with our in-house shipping or communication. One prior review referenced Live Shipping, which is a third-party service and not reflective of Legacy Auction House’s internal processes. We truly regret that your experience did not meet expectations. Please let us know what we can do to make this right — we value our clients and would welcome the opportunity to resolve this to your satisfaction.

We would also like to note that bids are fully retractable prior to auction day should a bidder change their mind about a piece. Regarding shipping, this item was packed and shipped in-house. Antique dolls are among the most labor-intensive items to ship safely, as each limb must be individually wrapped and supported to prevent damage. This process can take significant hands-on time and often requires longer, oversized boxes, which can increase carrier rates. In addition, seasonal and holiday surcharges may apply. Our pricing reflects the care, materials, time, and box size required to ensure safe delivery, and we always strive to keep rates as reasonable as possible. We value our collectors and their feedback and will continue to take comments like yours into account as we refine our operations.
